How to Connect Google Analytics 4 to a Shopify Store

To connect Google Analytics to a Shopify store do the following:

1. On Shopify, navigate to Online store / Preferences
2. Scroll down to the Google Analytics section
3. Click on the Set up Google button
4. Install the Google & Youtube application and connect your Google account
5. Go to the Google Analytics admin panel
6. Click on Create / Property and enter the property name
7. Fill out the 4-step form
8. At the last step select the Web platform
9. Enter your store URL and its name
10. Click Create & Continue and Next
11. Come back to Shopify and connect the GA property you've just created under the Connect a Google Analytics Property
12. Come back to Google Analytics, click on the Test Installation button and make sure you've got the success message
